This semester I had the opportunity to work with 15 very talented marketing students as they tackled the 2011 Google Online Marketing Challenge in my MKTG 490 course.
As soon I learn about the Challenge results later this summer, I will provide a more detailed blog post about the outcomes of their experience. For now, I simply wanted to send a heartfelt thanks to my entire MKTG 490 class. Their effort, attitude, energy, professionalism, and dedication made this course such a rewarding experience. It was a true pleasure working with such a wonderful group of JMU marketing students.
A special congratulations is extended to the 14 students from my class who will be graduating from James Madison University tomorrow. Best wishes to Amy, Ashley, Brittany, Emily, Gary, Larissa, Lauren, Lindsay, Linn, Meaghan, Molly, Nate, Patty, and Sarah. I’m always a bit sad when I see my students graduate. But, like a mother bird taking care of babies in her nest, at some point you just have to let them jump out and fly. I’m confident that this group will not just fly…they will SOAR!

Congrats on making it through the Google Online Marketing Challenge! What a great experience. Can’t wait to see the results! Also, Congrats to those graduating!
